A Turlock man died in a motorcycle crash near Jamestown on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. near the intersection where Highways 108 and 120 split west of Jamestown.

‘Mommy, I am dying.’ Car crashes into 3 siblings walking home from school, CA cops say

When Jami Hanlin heard her three children had been hit by a car while walking home from school in Antioch, the California mom rushed to the scene.

“I just know it was like a horror scene to me,” Hanlin told KNTV after the crash Friday, Sept. 16, recalling “seeing my son covered in blood telling me, ‘Mommy, I am dying.’”

Modesto man killed in Highway 108/120 crash identified

A Modesto man who died in a crash on Highway 108/120 east of Knights Ferry over the weekend has been identified.

Andrew Ramsey, 33, was involved in a solo vehicle crash east of Tulloch Road around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Cops put woman in police car parked on tracks, CO officials say. Then a train came

A 20-year-old woman inside a police car parked on railroad tracks north of Platteville was injured when a train struck the vehicle, Colorado officials reported.

A Colorado Bureau of Investigation news release said a Platteville police officer investigating a road rage incident stopped the woman at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, near U.S. 85 and Weld County Road 38.

Fire breaks out at Stanislaus County Fair building. Cause under investigation

An early morning fire broke out in a structure at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, damaging one of the fair buildings.

At around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Modesto firefighters were dispatched to what was initially reported as a “tent fire” on the 800 block of Soderquist Road at the fairgrounds, according to the department’s daily incident report.

Driver killed in head-on crash near Keyes, California Highway Patrol reports

A driver was killed early Sunday in a head-on collision just east of Keyes, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The two-vehicle crash happened about 1:10 a.m. on Keyes Road east of Pioneer Road.

The driver of a 2008 Mazda3 was eastbound on Keyes Road at an “unknown but high rate of speed,” according to a CHP news release.

Driver killed when he strikes power pole, is ejected from vehicle, which then runs over him

A driver who was ejected upon crashing into a power pole and then was run over by his vehicle died at the scene just outside Turlock late Saturday night, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to a news release on the crash, the 51-year-old Stockton resident was driving a 2011 Honda west on West Monte Vista Avenue at about 60 mph.

How Modesto, Turlock schools plan to beef up pool security following student drowning

The Turlock Unified School District plans to strengthen its pool security in wake of the drowning of a high school student last weekend, while some other districts in the area also are reviewing their safety policies.

TUSD Director of Communications Marie Russell said changes are coming after the drowning death of Turlock High senior Angel Dominguez Jr. in his school’s pool.

Teen accused of making bombs for sale in Atwater

ATWATER, Calif. (FOX26) — A teen in Atwater is in custody after a search warrant was served at his home because he was suspected of making bombs.

It began when the Merced Sheriff's Department received a tip Sunday from the FBI that a 17-year-old boy was manufacturing and selling explosive devices from a home.
