Student in critical condition after being pulled from Turlock High pool Friday night

A student was in critical condition after being pulled late Friday from the Turlock High School swimming pool, the district said.

The student was part of a group that entered the locked swimming complex about 11:30 p.m., said an email Saturday from Marie Russell, director of communications for the Turlock Unified School District.

Know who this Turlock ‘good Samaritan’ is? Police still looking for car fire rescuer

The Turlock Police Department has yet to identify the rescuer who pulled a man out of a burning car last week, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Detectives would like to talk with the rescuer to investigate the incident, and Sgt. Michael Parmley said there were no updates on the case as of Tuesday afternoon.

A video shows the rescuer make several attempts to pull a man out of the back seat of a burning vehicle on the 200 block of D Street at about 12:10 a.m. Thursday. After rescuing him through the car’s rear hatch, police said, the person left the scene. Witnesses reported the fire after hearing tires pop from the heat.

Massive tree falls on car at Turlock park, trapping people inside

TURLOCK, Calif. (KTXL) — A massive tree fell on two vehicles at a Turlock park Wednesday night, trapping people inside.

Turlock police said emergency responders were called to Broadway Park around 11:10 p.m.

Photos shared with FOX40 show the tree fell across the top of one of the vehicles, crushing its roof.

Two dead in collisions on Highway 99 in Turlock

Two people lost their lives in two separate collisions on Highway 99 in Turlock on Sunday, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The first incident was a single vehicle collision reported at 2:30 a.m. Sunday on northbound Highway 99, north of W. Monte Vista Avenue.

The deceased was identified as Luis Rudolfo Mojarro, 29, of Galt by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.

Drunk Driver Arrested After Injuring Two

in Accident

At about 9:45 pm Monday night, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of North Golden State Boulevard and West Monte Vista Avenue, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a gray Dodge sedan and the other was a white Subaru SUV.

Suspect smashes cars, assaults officer

Around 10:15 p.m. Sunday the Turlock Police Department responded to the 500 block of Angelus Street for a report of a man hitting vehicles with a board.

The first officer to arrive at the scene say the suspect, later identified as Jose Cisneros, 40, of Turlock, strike vehicles in an alleyway with a large board. The officer repeatedly ordered Cisneros to drop the board, but Cisneros ignored the order and began yelling at the officers at the scene, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The deadly crash occurred around 4:20 PM when a Hyundai Accent driver attempted to make a left turn onto North Golden State from Pedras Road.

Collision between vehicle, motorcycle leaves one dead in Turlock

The driver of a motorcycle that crashed into a sedan Monday afternoon in Turlock has died from his injuries, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The victim was identified as Owen McDonald, 32, of Turlock. 

The collision happened at 4:21 p.m. Monday at the intersection of North Golden State Boulevard and Pedras Road.

Drunk Driver Arrested After Crashing Head On With Other Vehicle

At about 7:21 pm Friday evening, a Turlock Police officer in the 1300 block of South Washington Road, Turlock, came upon a vehicle collision with injuries in the roadway.

Two vehicles were involved. One was a silver Acura sedan and the other was a silver Chevrolet pickup truck.
