6-year-old flown to children’s hospital after crash at Stanislaus off-road vehicle park

A 6-year-old Hilmar boy was taken by air ambulance to a Central Valley children’s hospital after crashing his dirt bike Saturday afternoon at the La Grange Off-Highway Vehicle Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened about 4:50 p.m. when the child fell off his Kawasaki 65 motorcycle, which then rolled over his leg, causing a femoral fracture, CHP Modesto area spokesman Officer Tom Olsen said Sunday. The boy was wearing a helmet.

Pedestrian believed to be drunk dies after hit by car in Stanislaus County, CHP says

A 44-year-old pedestrian who officers said they believe was drunk died after he was hit by a vehicle near Crows Landing in Stanislaus County early Sunday morning.

The California Highway Patrol responded to Highway 33 near Ike Crow Road just after 4:30 a.m. where they found a Honda with major damage and a pedestrian lying in the northbound lane.

Modesto home converted to pot grow house catches fire

 A Modesto home that had been converted into an illegal marijuana grow house caught fire early Saturday morning.

Modesto Fire crews responded to the scene near Prescott Road and Bangs Avenue and found flames shooting from the attic and roof of the home.

Fire Chief Finds Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Victim With Major Injuries

At about 12:41am Monday, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to a traffic collision with injuries in the 400 block of E. Christoffersen Parkway.

Keyes Fire Assistant Chief Heydon Bailey had come across a man down in the roadway who’d obviously been struck by a vehicle.

Turlock, CA – Vehicle Collision at Monte Vista Ave & Countryside Dr Injures One

A vehicle collision at the intersection of Monte Vista Ave and Countryside Dr on Thursday, March 21, left one person injured. Around 9:34 p.m., Turlock Police and Fire responded to the scene. Initially, reports indicated an unconscious individual. 

However, upon arrival, officers confirmed the accident involved two vehicles and one injured but conscious person. Emergency teams, including firefighters and AMR, were on-site assisting. The crash led to the northbound lane of Countryside Dr being diverted.

Stolen vehicle pursuit ends with crash in Turlock

A pursuit of a stolen vehicle on Tuesday that stretched into multiple counties and took a circuitous route through Turlock neighborhoods and downtown ended with a crash when the driver sped the car through the intersection at N. Soderquist Road and W. Canal Drive and hit another vehicle.

Both the suspect and the two people in the other vehicle were transported to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

 A pedestrian died early Thursday morning after being hit by a pickup truck on Highway 33 in Stanislaus County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened just before 5 a.m. on Highway 33, north of McCracken Road.

Young, single Patterson mom has been missing for nearly two weeks. Family asks for help

A 20-year-old Patterson woman reported missing nearly two weeks has yet to be found, according to her family and the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Station.

Breanna Marie Taylor was last seen Feb. 23 at her apartment in Patterson. The next day, an “unverified number” texted her family saying that Breanna was involved in a stabbing and was hurt. Local hospitals were called, but Taylor was not located, read a Stanislaus County Crime Stoppers missing person flier.
