Turlock’s Mayor Race: 2022 Election Results

TURLOCK, Calif. — Two candidates have squared off over the past several months in an effort to lead the city of Turlock.

The candidates once sat beside each other on the City Council. Current Mayor Amy Bublak is looking for another four years representing the city of Turlock, but former Turlock Councilman Gil Esquer is vying to fill that role himself.

Ceres shooting victim expected to survive. Subject in Dodge pickup sought

The person shot multiple times near the Hatch Road exit of Highway 99 on Friday night in Ceres is expected to survive, a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said Sunday morning.

Deputies were dispatched about 8:42 p.m. Friday to assist Ceres police officers on a report of a person shot, sheriff’s Sgt. Luke Schwartz said.

Search warrant leads to drugs and weapons arrest in Turlock

TURLOCK, Calif. (FOX26) — A Turlock man is one of nearly 30 arrested in a multi-agency crackdown conducted in multiple Valley counties.

The Turlock Special Weapons and Tactics Team, with the help of Investigators with the Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) and Detectives with the Turlock Police Department, served a search and arrest warrant last week for 38-year-old Asuncion Quintero in the 800 block of High Street.

MODESTO, Calif. — A man experiencing homelessness in Modesto was tragically killed while crossing McHenry Avenue. It came at a time when his family says he was turning his life around after battles with mental health and drug addition.

To his family, he always was and will always be the little brother.

“He was always laughing, always joking," said Nicole Fox, Hadley's sister. ”He was just that little brother, you know?”
