Yosemite National Park issued a missing person alert on Saturday for Joel Thomazin, 31, of Denair, who was last seen starting out on a solo hike Sept. 6 near Hetch Hetchy.
According to the park service, Thomazin had planned a solo hike from Hetch Hetchy to Lake Eleanor and then back to Hetch Hetchy starting on Sept. 6 and returning Sept. 9.
The park service asked anyone who was in the area of Miguel Meadow, Lake Eleanor or on the trails around Hetch Hetchy since Sept. 6 to contact Yosemite Search and Rescue at 209-238-7046.
