Get your Back to School Glow Up

For the second consecutive year, a salon in downtown Turlock is giving local children in need an opportunity to ring in the new school year with a fresh cut.

Salon TwoZeroNine, located at 625 E. Main St., will be hosting the Back to School Glow Up from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6. The event will offer free haircuts to kids while accepting donations of school supplies to award to a local teacher nominated by the community.

For the fifth year, Salon Rouge in downtown Turlock is getting set to host one of the more unique fundraisers of the year on Sunday afternoon.

Tabbed as “Salsa and Scissors” the stylists at the salon will once again be donating their time and services for Ramina’s Memorial Corporation, a non-profit organization in honor of the late Ramina Badal, that works in conjunction with other local charities to provide a helping hand to those in need.
